Taps: Alexander “Blackie” Bell

Posted on Jul 20, 2020 in Taps

After inquiries by several retirees, Retiree News researched and has confirmed the passing of Alexander “Blackie” Bell. A family member we spoke to reported that Blackie passed away in June 2017 at age 86.

Blackie flew with the 199th Fighter Squadron for many years. He later retired from the Air Force Reserve in the 1970s.

In accordance to Blackie’s wishes, there were no services and his ashes were scattered from an airplane over Kaneohe Bay.
