Taps: Benjamin Saguibo

Benjamin Saguibo passed away in his sleep on June 24, 2018 at his home in Haleiwa, Hawaii. He was born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on February 12, 1936. He is married to wife Eleanor Saguibo. Ben is a retiree for the Hawaii Army National Guard with 41 years of service from 1954 to 1996. He proudly served as Business Manager for the Hawaii Laborers Union Local 368 for 49 years from 1958 to 2007. Ben was also on the Board of Honolulu Police Commission from 2006 to 2010.

He is survived by Wife, Eleanor R. Saguibo; Daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” (John) Tolentino; Sons, Allan (Karen) Saguibo, Clayton (Debbie) Saguibo; Mother, Margarita Saguibo; Brothers, Donald (Luvi) Saguibo, Antonio (Ellen) Saguibo, Juan Saguibo, Robert (Elydia) Saguibo, Lolito (Nelita) Saguibo; Sisters, Evelyn (Isitolo) Oloa, Margielyn (Mark) Matsumoto, Perlita (Kazu) Ikemura; Sister-in-law, Belen Saguibo, Grandchildren, Michelle, Lisa, Jeremy, Danny, Keoki, Preston, Tiana; and 7 Great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Mililani Memorial Park‘s Mauka Chapel, Wake Service 7:00 p.m. Visitation also will be 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Mililani Memorial Park’s Mauka Chapel; Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., Burial to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park.
