Posted on May 23, 2018 in Webmaster CommentsBrig Gen Robert “Bob” Maguire served as the Commander of the Hawaii Air National Guard from 1973 through 1976, when he retired. After retirement, he continued to attend many 199th Fighter Squadron events and ROMEO luncheons.
Yesterday Retiree News received an email from Brig Gen (Ret) Braden “Mongo” Sakai, asking it be shared with the Guard ohana.
Mongo’s email relayed some sad information about Bob Maguire from his wife, Judy. The email read in part:
Bob has now been in the hospital since May 5th and is in serious condition. He will be under hospice care starting tomorrow. He has requested no visitors.
If you would like to send him a note of encouragement or support, you can send it to him at: [email protected]
Thank you, Judy
