TAPS: Robert ‘Bobby’ Silva

Robert Dionizio “Bobby” Silva passed away on April 17, 2026, at the Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 94.

He was born in Hanamaulu, Kauai, on Sept. 19, 1931, and retired as a maintenance technician for the County of Kauai Housing Agency. He also retired from the Hawaii Air National Guard with over 39 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine R. Silva, parents John D. and Rose B. Silva and brother Richard D. Silva.

He is survived by his son Alan (Valerie) Silva, daughter Barbara (Edward) Vallejos, grandchildren Robert Alan Silva, Richard James Silva, brother James (Patricia) Silva and hanai sister Diana (Darryl) Simao.
