Charles S. Rosa, 90, of Kaumana, died Jan. 3 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired plumber for the former Lillie Continental Contracting, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran.

Survived by wife, Joyce Rosa of Hilo; son, Anthony Rosa of Hilo; stepsons, Paul Santos and Randy Santos of Kona; daughters, Cheryl (Robert) Mattos of Volcano, Lauri (David) Mattos of Kaumana and Kathy (Stacy) Horner of Reno, Nev.; sisters, Shirley (Roy) Legaspi and Dorothy Rosa of Hilo; sister-in-law, Lorna Rosa of Hilo; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
