Medal of Honor Recipient: Yeiki Kobashigawa
Posted on Jun 30, 2025 in Webmaster CommentsWhen World War II broke out, Yeiki Kobashigawa, a nisei soldier from Hawaii (and a former Hawaii National Guardsmen), stepped up to serve a country that was questioning his loyalty. Despite the discrimination he and others faced, he fought with undeniable courage as part of the all-Japanese American 100th Infantry Battalion.
Kobashigawa would lead a bold assault on multiple enemy machine gun nests, capturing or neutralizing enemy positions under heavy fire. His actions helped secure a key allied advance.
