Taps: Russell Kwai Nin Mun

Russell Kwai Nin Mun, 78, of Honolulu, died at Queen’s Medical Center on Thursday February 20, 2025.
Russell Mun served as a pilot in the Air Force before joining the Hawaii Air National Guard as an air traffic control officer. He was a pilot of Aloha Airlines for many years. He commanded the then 297th Air Traffic Control Flight for several years.
He is survived by his daughters, Laurie (Mike Ying) and Melissa (Josh Radel); grandchildren Malia, Lana, Emmeline and James; and brother Stephen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynette.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10am at First Chinese Church of Christ in Honolulu. Arrangements Provided By: Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary LLC
