TAPS: Richard Shigeto Furuno

Richard Shigeto Furuno, of Honolulu passed away November 28, 2024 at the age of 95. Born on July 31, 1929, he was a graduate of Iolani School and the University of Hawaii. He retired from the Hawaii Air National Guard with the rank of Lt. Colonel and then worked for the State of Hawaii. He enjoyed going to tai-chi in his later years. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie. He is survived by daughters Linda, Diane Mogi (Ken) and sons Alan, Brian (Cheryl), and four grandchildren. Private services held.

Lt Col Furuno served at HQ, Hawaii Air National Guard and later a then Hickam AFB.
