TAPS: Henry Germinio “Ace” Aceret

Henry Germinio “Ace” Aceret, 92, of Hilo, died Nov. 1 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. Born in Kohala, he was an automobile inspector/helicopter maintenance man for the Hawaii Army National Guard, U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion Post 48, Disabled American Veterans and the former Sampaguita Club.

Visitation 4-6 p.m. Monday (Dec. 2) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake services at 6 p.m. Visitation 8-9 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 3) at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire; no flowers.

Survived by wife, Ildefonsa Aceret of Hilo; son, Eddy Aceret of Honolulu; stepsons, Eddy (Leeann) Ragasa and Jonathan (Brenda) Ragasa of Hilo; stepdaughters, Janet Dela Cruz of Honolulu and Emilia (Guy) Kobayashi of Kohala; brother, Pete (Linda) Aceret of Los Angeles; sisters, Avelena Tanodra of Honolulu and Linda (Jack) McBeath of Washington; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Aceret of Hilo and Stella Aceret of Los Angeles; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews.
