Posted on Mar 10, 2018 in TapsEugene Imai, 72 of Honolulu passed away peacefully on January 28, 2018.
He worked as an administrator at several State of Hawaii Departments including Agriculture, Education, Budget and Finance, Accounting and General Services and the University of Hawaii.
He served for 31 years in the Army Reserves and the Hawaii Army National Guard where he retired as a Major General.
He is survived by his wife Gail, daughter Serina Hijirida (David), son Gavin (Flora Xiang), sister Ruth Shigekane, brother Arthur Imai (Jean), grandsons and nephews.
Services will be held at Arcadia Retirement Residence on Friday, March 23, 2018. Visitation 8:30AM, service 9:30AM. Burial will follow on the same day at 1:00 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl). No koden or flowers.
