Taps: Robert K. Nalaielua, Jr.
Posted on Sep 4, 2016 in TapsRobert K. Nalaielua, Jr. was born on April 13, 1942 in Wailuku, Maui, entered the gates of heaven on June 30, 2016.
After graduating from Kamehameha High School in 1960, Robert (Bob) served 26 years of military service combined between both active duty in the United States Army and the Air Force National Guard. Robert worked diligently for 42 years in various positions within the telecommunications industry finishing his working career with Verizon and TW Telecom. Robert retired and moved to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina where he enjoyed gardening and planning and taking road trips with his wife of forty years, J.R. Gilmore Nalaielua. Robert joins his dad, Robert, Sr. and Mom, Edith Nalaielua in eternal life.
He is survived by his sisters, Doreen Araujo and Joyce Nalaielua Quirch, children, Patricia Ann Puanani Nalaielua, Tracy Marie Leilani Furukawa, and Kyle Anthony Keal’i Nalaielua, step-children, David R. Griffith, Jody E. Margulies, Jack Griffith, and Col. Daniel Casey Griffith, 20 grandchildren, one great grandson, aunties and cousins throughout Honolulu.
A Celebration of Robert’s Life and inurnment will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery in Kaneohe, on September 10th, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
