Posted on Apr 10, 2016 in TapsBenjamin Masaharu “Benjie” Watai Jr., 56, of Kailua-Kona, a Jack Hall Memorial Housing groundskeeper and maintenance man, a Kona Country Club landscaper, a National Car Rental car washer and a Hawaii National Guard veteran, died in Kona Community Hospital. on March 27, 2016. He was born in San Diego.
He is survived by wife Imelda, daughter Maria Elena, brothers Walter and Jerry, and sisters Paula Jelsma and Shiloah Kenolio.
Visitation: 8 a.m. April 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kona Hawaii Temple. Services: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at the Kona Memorial Park. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
