Retiree Update: Gerald Silva

Colonel Gerald Silva retired from the Hawaii Army National Guard in 1994.  He served in many positions in his long career with his last assignment being the Chief of Staff of the Army Guard. For the next 10 years, he worked for the City & County of Honolulu and retired as a deputy director. Two days later, he started working as the chief operating officer of ‘Ōlelo Community Television.  He continued until his third retirement in 2011.

Gerry Silva is currently the “Chief Volunteer” (as his business card states) of the the Hawaii Chapter of AARP.
