Transition Assistance Advisors

TAAs help you cut through the red tape, provide information and assistance to Service members and their families to help them understand and access state and federal benefits as well as services through the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Business Administration Military Health System and the Department of Labor. We research and resolve issues associated with entitlements if you encounter issues. We get the right folks involved when you need their help.

Financial Readiness

FINRED is a Defense Department organization that works with the services, federal partners and private entities, to provide programs, policy, education, advocacy and program oversight for service members and families to achieve personal financial readiness.

FINRED offers support through personal financial managers and personal financial counselors – financial experts who provide the training and education needed to develop and achieve financial goals and address financial challenges.

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve

ESGR, a DoD office, was established to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee’s military commitment. These citizen warriors could not defend and protect us at home and abroad without the continued promise of meaningful civilian employment for themselves and their families.

Support agencies provide essential assistance in areas such as individualized and targeted employment services; personal financial counseling and readiness; access and information regarding Federal and State benefits and entitlements; and education on the rights and responsibilities among employers and service members under Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act
