The month of April has been designated as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM)

Step Forward: Prevent, Report, Advocate.
As a Military Family, we must commit to speaking up and making our voices heard to prevent and defeat this insider threat. SAAPM is an opportunity for Military leaders to exhibit that prevention of sexual assault/harassment is a priority and leaders at all levels are required to maintain a positive command climate and build a strong Military culture rooted in values and based on dignity and respect.
Each Guardsman, Civilian and Military Community has a responsibility to prevent sexual assault, harassment, retaliation and behaviors that lead to disruptiveness within our Military Team. With leadership, dedication and encouragement, there is compelling evidence that we can be successful in reducing sexual violence within the Military through education, increased awareness and holding offenders who commit acts of violence responsible for their actions.
Protecting our people protects our mission and calls upon all Leaders, Guardsmen, Civilians and their Families to support our efforts to prevent sexual assault and strengthen our Military Community.

Safe Helpline’s top priority is your safety. Because of that, we designed Safe HelpRoom from the ground up, so that you remain completely anonymous and your participation in a Safe HelpRoom discussion is confidential.
