R3SP

Resilience, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention
The R3SP program is a multi-faceted approach in assisting commands to conduct training, build unit cohesion, and address areas of concerns. The program prioritizes inclusiveness to promote resilience, reduce risk, and ensure we do not stigmatize help-seeking behavior. In a comprehensive manner to increase and maintain resilience, the overall wellness of our Service Members and family fitness. While we do not know definitively what triggers a suicidal thought or action, we do know that the stressors affecting a Soldier’s outlook such as employment, relationships, and behavioral health issues must be identified and mitigated to promote a ready and resilience force.
A comprehensive team of professionals consisting of the R3SP Program Manager, a Risk Reduction Coordinator, a Suicide Prevention Coordinator and a Prevention Coordinator partner relationships between unit commanders, state programs, community organizations and Army resources in areas of deterrence, targeted intervention, risk reduction, suicide prevention, alcohol and drug rehabilitation and behavioral health as measured through the five dimensions of strength: Physical, Emotional, Social, Spiritual and Family.
