Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce

The mission of Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce (IPPW) promotes balance, harmony, and unity within the Hawaii National Guard through policies, programs, and practices that cultivate a ready and resilient force. to proactively address harmful behaviors and foster healthy environments within our military communities.  These efforts aim to reduce the occurrence of issues such as violence, abuse, self-directed harm, and other harmful actions by targeting their root causes and promoting positive behaviors.

The IPPW wants to cultivate and grow a culture of prevention that empowers leaders, soldiers, airmen, federal workers, and their families to build resilient and supportive environments.  We use evidenced-based strategies, conduct risk and climate assessments, and provide education and training to enhance awareness and prevention capabilities.  IPPW focuses on collaboration, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement to ensure long tern success in reducing harm and promote well-being.
