Engel<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May 25th 1915&nbsp;the Naval Militia Board is appointed by Governor Pinkham after the legislative session establishes a Naval Militia in the Territory of Hawaii. By December of 1916 the Naval Militia has 9 commissioned officers and 100 enlisted men. During World War I the Naval Militia was ordered into federal service.
