Back then, the squadron flew\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lockheed_C-130_Hercules\">Lockheed C-130H2\/H3s Hercules<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The squadron was established and allotted to the Hawaii Air National Guard in 1994. The unit received Federal Recognition and activated on August 1, 1994.
