The open house featured many military aircraft static displays. Armed Forces Day evolved to Military Appreciation Month over the years.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These photographs were sent to Retiree News by&nbsp;<strong>Roger A.C.<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>\u201cBig Daddy\u201d Moore<\/strong>, who flew with the 199th Fighter Squadron in the 1960s. According to his email, they were sent to him by someone from England. The then-154th Fighter Interceptor Group displayed a Convair F-102A Delta Dagger. The Group which they received the Deuces in 1960 and competed the conversion in 1962.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Big Daddy is seen in the cockpit with his orange flight suit. The Air Force later converted to the green suits. On the right shoulder of his flight suit is the 199th Fighter Interceptor Squadron \u201cDeuce\u201d patch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you look closely at  the photo above, you will see someone in a \u201c1505\u201d uniform \u2013 the Air Force short sleeve uniform of the period \u2013 on the tarmac to the right of the aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A long time ago\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:10px\"><em>The appearance of external hyperlinks did not constitute endorsement by Retiree News, this included the linked websites, information, products, or services contained therein.
