The following items were in the \u201cIn My Opinion\u201d column in the June 1995 issue of the 154th<\/sup> Support Group Training Bulletin. Unit designations and ranks are as they were in 1995.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three 154th Support Group<\/strong><\/span> members met their promotions boards during the May UTA weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MSgt John Botelho<\/strong>, 154th Mission Support Flight<\/strong><\/span>.  John was the \u201cowner\u201d of the Military Personnel Flight\u2019s computer.  MSgt Botelho now is a member of the 154th<\/sup> Communications Flight.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TSgt Angie Fleenor<\/strong>, 154th Mission Support Flight<\/strong><\/span>.  Angie worked in the IM function and her office was in the old mailroom in the hanger. Angie retired and relocated to the continent.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TSgt Derek Gaboya<\/strong>, 154th Civil Engineer Squadron<\/strong><\/span>. Derek was a Traditional Guardmember who always did a super job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hawaii National Guard Association named Capt Jeff Wachter<\/strong>, 169th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron<\/strong><\/span> as the Outstanding Officer for 1995. The presentation was at the HNGA\u2019s annual conference in May. Several days later, Jeff and a small group of the 169 ACWS members departed for an extended deployment in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MSgt Colosse Eliapo, Jr<\/strong>., Hq 154th Group<\/strong><\/span> represented the State Department of Defense as the department\u2019s nominee as the State Employee of the Year in the Professional area.  Colosse passed away earlier this year.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TSgt Mark Ueunten<\/strong>, Communications Flight<\/strong><\/span> deployed with the 203d Air Refueling Squadron<\/strong><\/span> to Keflavic, Iceland. The 154th Wing\u2019s KC-135Rs stood alert in support of the Icelandic Defense Forces and Mark documented activities as the video cameraman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MSgt Stanley Heu<\/strong>, 154th Maintenance Squadron<\/strong><\/span>, and MSgt Annarene Blair<\/strong>, <\/span>201 Combat Communications Group<\/span> <\/strong>just graduated from the Air Force Senior NCO Academy residence course.  A very notable achievement for Stan and Anna because there were not too many slots for Guardmembers 20 years ago.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Honolulu Police Department named SMSgt Gerald Minami<\/strong>, 154th Medical Squadron<\/strong> as their Reserve Police Officer of the Year<\/strong><\/span>.  Between his regular job and serving in the Guard, Gerald still found time to serve as a reserve officer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
