Ranks and unit designations are as they were in 1995.<\/span>&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The April column recognized two newly promoted colonels in the Hawaii Air National Guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">+<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000080;\">Myron Dobashi<\/span><\/strong>, the Deputy Commander of the <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>201st Combat Communications Group<\/strong><\/span>, who pinned on his \u201ceagles \u201c during the March UTA. Colonel Dobashi recently came to the 201<sup>st<\/sup> after commanding the <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>150th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron<\/strong><\/span> and the <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>154th Air Control Squadron<\/strong><\/span> on Kauai.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">+<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000080;\">Melvin Honda<\/span><\/strong>, assigned to Headquarters, Hawaii Air National Guard. He served as a C-130 pilot at the 154<sup>th<\/sup> Wing. He moved to the Headquarters to become the chief planner for the HIANG Strategic Plan. <strong>B<span style=\"color: #000080;\">rig Gen David Rodrigues<\/span><\/strong>, Commander, Hawaii Air National Guard, pinned Colonel Honda.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The column recognized the HIANG\u2019s five new Chief Master Sergeants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>+ Reginald Chun<\/strong>, <strong>154th Maintenance Squadron<\/strong><\/span>. Chief Chun was the NCOIC of the Missile shop, when it was out by the beach.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>+ Alfred DeRego,<\/strong> <strong>203d Air Refueling Squadron<\/strong><\/span>. Chief DeRego was long time technician and served with the Enlisted Association.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>+ Harrison Iga<\/strong>, <strong>154th Logistics Squadron<\/strong><\/span>. Chief Iga, another long time technician, was the hub of the supply operation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>+ Rex Koga<\/strong>, <strong>203d Air Refueling Squadron<\/strong><\/span>. Chief Koga served in the avionics branch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>+ Ken Sonan<\/strong>, <strong>154th Operations Group<\/strong><\/span>. Chief Sonan worked comm-electronics issues for the radar units for many years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>SMSgt Deb Brownhill<\/strong>, <strong>154th Civil Engineer Squadron<\/strong><\/span>, transferred to the Human Resources Management Office (HRMO). She will serve in the training section. On UTA weekends, Deb will work at HQ HIANG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">TSgt Kenneth Takushi<\/span> <\/strong>of the <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>154 Mission Support Flight<\/strong><\/span> retired after 28 years of service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>TSgt Bridget Komine, 154 Mission Support Flight<\/strong><\/span>, completed the ANG NCO Academy at McGhee Tyson\u2019s Professional Military Education Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:10px\"><em>The appearance of external hyperlinks did not constitute endorsement by Retiree News, this included the linked websites, information, products, or services contained therein.
