InfraGard Hawaii – Cyber Security Awareness
The InfraGard Hawaii Members Alliance is hosting a cybersecurity situation awareness event on Wednesday, October 9 at the HIDTA Conference Room, 500 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu—Tower 5, Suite 200 in Restaurant Row.
Cyber security situation awareness is being aware of both the physical and digital internet environment. The first step is establishing a baseline for what is normal and being able to recognize when something is out of the norm. October’s featured speakers are Special Agent (SA) Case who will present a DSS CI Case Study and SA Hecker who will provide an update regarding recent Cyber trends/methodology.
Shawn A. Case is a Counterintelligence Special Agent (SA), Defense Security Service, with extensive experience in the areas of Counterintelligence and Counterespionage matters. In addition to case experience, SA Case routinely provides Counterintelligence education and training to cleared contractors across numerous branches. Prior to joining DSS in 2010, SA Case was an Intelligence Officer with DIA and a Counterintelligence Agent with the U.S. Army.
Christopher Hecker is a Special Agent (SA) on the FBI Honolulu Cyber Squad and has spent the last 10 years focusing on National Security matters. SA Hecker earned his MS in Computer Science and PhD in Computer Security from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
