NGA – Virtual Upskilling Opportunities in Cybersecurity Webinar
May 13 7:00 am - 8:00 am
Sponsored by National Governors Association
(NGA.ORG) The National Governors Association (NGA) Resource Center for State Cybersecurity is hosting its next webinar on Virtual Upskilling Opportunities in Cybersecurity from 1:00 – 2:00 pm (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, May 13, 2020.
Given the current economic situation, many individuals – especially those unemployed or furloughed – may be interested in exploring new or expanded career opportunities, especially in a high demand field like cybersecurity. This webinar will highlight several cybersecurity virtual training programs and explore the opportunities available to both individuals and state agencies. We’ll hear from Purdue University on the upcoming national rollout of their registered apprenticeship program in cybersecurity, the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) on free and low-cost upskilling opportunities available, as well as from CompTIA on the virtual, live training courses they offer and their recent work with Missouri. There will be time reserved for audience questions.
