The CDP supports Federal, State, and local Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), Community Base Organizations (CBOs) and other government agencies in their efforts to reduce the supply and demand for illicit drugs within the state. The CDP Analyst Support section assists LEAs with criminal data analysis to detect, interdict and curtail illicit drug trafficking activities. The HING CDP Drug Demand Reduction Outreach section assists the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Prevention Initiative in supporting CBOs, LEAs, and government agencies with training, planning, decision making, and interagency collaboration to reduce substance misuse and its destructive impact on our communities<\/p><\/div>\n

Vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To bridge the divide between civilian law enforcement and the military by bringing core DOD capabilities and resources to bear against drug related threats while leveraging the Guard\u2019s unique legal ability to operate on U.S. soil and abroad. The National Guard Counterdrug Program conducts a full spectrum campaign that bridges the gap between Department of Defense and Non-DoD institutions in the fight against illicit drugs and transnational threats to the Homeland. The program contributes military support for local, state and federal Law Enforcement Agencies and Community Based Organizations as well as Combatant Commanders. The Counterdrug program\u2019s goal is to provide the nation with a drug-free, mission-ready force to defend the interests of its citizens at home and abroad. The unique military skills of roughly 2,500 Soldiers and Airmen are the KEY to providing this vital support. They work at all levels of government to anticipate, deter, and defeat these threats in order to enhance national security and protect our society. The National Guard Counterdrug Program personnel are woven into the fabric of our communities all across America; operating in 54 states and territories.
