The men and women of the State Warning Point work 24/7 tracking dangerous weather systems and other natural disasters. They are part of the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency and their priority is the safety of island residents. (Feb. 2017)

 

Four Japanese nationals received a preparedness briefing from their counterparts at the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency. Japan’s Disaster Prevention and Crisis Management Department is interested in the Hawaii Hazards Awareness and Resilience Program. HHARP is a statewide community based program developed by Hawaii-EMA. (Feb. 2017)
