The Hawai’i Emergency Management Agency (HI-EMA) has restored telephone service after experiencing technical problems with some of its telephone systems, including the main public line.

Service was interrupted early Sunday morning, Jan. 16, 2022, and restored by 4:30 p.m. Communications with emergency management partners was maintained via backup systems and email while the system fault was corrected.

Please remember that HI-EMA is not a first responder; if you have an emergency situation, call 9-1-1.
